14 Convicts Of Online Fraud In West Java Moved To Nusakambangan, Every 1 Prisoner Placed In 1 Cell
A total of 14 convicts of online fraud cases from a number of correctional institutions in West Java (West Java) were transferred to the Nusakambangan Island prison, Cilacap, Central Java (Central Java).
"It comes from several prisons in the West Java region. They are gathered at Gunung Sindur Prison to facilitate the process of direct transfer and will be placed in the Class II A Penitentiary Category, Karang Anyar, Nusakambangan Island," said Head of the Correctional Division of the West Java Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Kusnali, Tuesday, May 16, confiscated by Antara.
Kusnali explained that the transfer was in accordance with the instructions of the Director General of Corrections at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Reynhard Silitonga, to immediately bring order to rogue prisoners in prisons and detention centers throughout Indonesia.
"Not only prisoners, even officers involved will also be ordered and if necessary we also send them to Nusakambangan," said Kusnali.
Of the 14 inmates, as many as nine people were dispatched from Gunung Sindur Prison and five others from the Class 1 Detention Center in Bandung.
He explained that initially there were 15 inmates who would be transferred to Nusakambangan Island, but one person is still under further investigation, he said.
"This indicates that corrections are very important, in this case the Directorate General of Corrections is very concerned in eradicating rogue prisoners in prisons," he said.

Meanwhile, the Coordinator of Nusakambangan Island as well as the Head of the Batu Mardi Santoso Class I Penitentiary said that as many as 14 inmates sent from the West Java area had arrived and were handed over at the Wijaya Pura Cilacap Port to Nusakambangan Island on Tuesday, May 16 morning at 06.30 WIB.
"The handover process and the transfer of the fourteen inmates went safely, smoothly, and conducively, carried out in accordance with the applicable SOP," said Mardi.
He revealed that as many as 14 prisoners were immediately taken to a high risk prison in the super-maximum security category.
