The Transfer Of The Air Cable At Jalan Riau Bandung Is Almost Complete

The process of transferring aerial cables into underground tunnels (ducting) on the LL.R.E Martadinata Road (Riau Street) segment to the Banda Street intersection can be completed faster than the target, namely by the end of this month.

The reason is, said the Daily Executive (Plh) of the Mayor of Bandung, Ema Sumarna, the ducting process in the area was running smoothly and quickly, where fiber optic cables that stretched along Riau-Banda Street had been tidied up.

"Earlier we checked, there has been a significant decline in the cable. The route from Jalan Dago to the intersection of Jalan Riau, which is directed to Jalan Banda, turns out that before the end of May, it will be finished," said Ema Sumarna as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 12.

Setelah sisi kiri maupun kanan sepanjang ruas jalan tersebut sudah bebas dari kapal fiber optical yang menjutai di udara, kata Ema, selanjutnya dilanjutkan perbaikan yang akan dilakukan berbagai Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) Kota Bandung.

"It's just the penetration of improvements that will be completed by the Transportation Agency (Dishub), the Water Resources and Highways Service (DSDABM), and the Housing and Settlement Areas, Land and Parks Service (DPKP3)," he said.

Some things that need to be tidied up after the ducting are the sidewalks, street lights, and parks affected by the ducting.

"So that everything will be much better later, sidewalks are also optimally used by people to walk. Then the cables except for PLN have all gone down. I see, gradually we will continue to do aspects of the beauty of the city," he said.

After the target of the Riau Road section, until the intersection of Jalan Riau - Banda at the end of May, the Bandung City Government will continue the ducting process to the intersection of Jalan Riau - Jalan Ahmad Yani, so that by 2023 it is targeted that Riau Street is free of air cables.
