Jokowi Visits The Culinary Tourism Area Of Ujung Labuan Bajo Village, Distributes Celemek To Traders
LABUAN BAJO - President Joko Widodo visited the culinary tourism area of Kampung Ujung in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.
President Jokowi on Sunday, May 8, walked through an area filled with kiosks selling various kinds of seafood, such as fish, shrimp, and shells, while greeting traders who were selling their wares.
Selain itu, Presiden Jokowi juga membagikan kiosk kepada para pedagang sambil berbincang dengan mereka.
The presence of the President was greeted enthusiastically by traders, one of whom was Nurhayati who said that the Head of State had asked the types of merchandise she was selling.
"This trial he (the president) asked how much one portion was, I answered Rp. 100,000," said Nurhayati as quoted by ANTARA from a statement from the Press, Media and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat.
Nurhayati also said that her kiosk is increasingly being visited by buyers, especially ahead of the 42nd ASEAN Summit (KTT).
"Ramai. I also enjoy celebrating here the ASEAN Summit," said Nurhayati.
The same thing was conveyed by Apri, who sells fried rice in Kampung Ujung. He is grateful that his buyers are increasing and more crowded with travelers who come to Labuan Bajo.
"When this summit sales are progressing, it continues to be more crowded with outsiders who come here. I am very grateful for this ASEAN Summit," said Apri.

Previously, when he had just landed at Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo, on Sunday (8/5) afternoon, President Jokowi said that the implementation of the ASEAN 2023 Summit was a momentum to promote Labuan Bajo to make the world more known.
"This is a very good momentum for us to hold an ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo to market Labuan Bajo so that all the world knows that there is a Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara," said Jokowi.
The ASEAN Summit series is scheduled to take place from 9 to 11 May 2023 with the schedule for the main meeting scheduled for May 10 and 11.
