KMP Royce Fire In Merak Successfully Extinguished

MERAK - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) confirmed that the fire on the Passenger Motorboat (KMP) Royce 1 belonging to PT DLB while sailing from Merak, Banten, to Bakauheni, Lampung, was successfully extinguished by the joint team.

Corporate Secretary of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Shelvy Arifin said that before crossing Tempurung Merak Island, the ship caught fire.

But at this time, he said, the fire could be extinguished by involving a joint team, including the Banten Basarnas.

It is planned that KMP Royce1 will be docked and evacuated at Merak Port.

The BPBD, ASDP, Basarnas, and related agencies teams have coordinated to immediately condition so that the ship leans on Merak and can evacuate all service users.
