6,000 Passengers Cancel Travel Tickets, KAI Speeds Up Repair Of 2 Collapsed Path Points In Lampung
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Regional Division IV Tanjungkarang is speeding up the work of two railroad points (KA) that have collapsed in Lampung Province.
The route that collapsed was at km 206+0/2 plots of the route between Gilas-Sepancar, and at km 152/+2 plots of route between Agung-Blambangan Umpu Country.
"We continue to do our best so that the safe route is passed by the train," said the Daily Executive of the Public Relations Manager of Divre IV Tanjungkarang, M Reza Fahlepi in Bandarlampung, Thursday, May 4, confiscated by Antara.
He said that until now the cancellation of train travel tickets by prospective passengers in total is around 5,000 to 6,000 people.
"The train journey has not been opened, this is because we consider the safety and security of train travel as well as the safety of prospective passengers, when the path repairs have been completed and are safe to pass, they will be informed immediately," he said.
He said that handling in accelerating the normalization of the collapsed train line had been carried out both in terms of train operational arrangements and train line infrastructure.
"In this normalization effort, all levels of KAI to the Board of Directors went directly to the field to participate in ensuring the progress of the work, such as strengthening the foundation, adding retaliatory stones/cricak, and tightening the railway line by using heavy equipment and increasing the number of personnel at the subsidence location," he said.

Reza also asked customers who were affected by the cessation of train travel because they could find other transportation alternatives and cancel tickets with 100 percent return outside of booking duties.
"We are committed to always prioritizing safety, security, and comfort of train travel. Hopefully the weather will support and the subsidence will be resolved soon so that the affected railway line returns to normal and train travel can operate smoothly," said Reza.
