Director of Narcotics at the Jambi Police, Police Commissioner Thomas Panji Susbandaru in Jambi, Wednesday, said that all evidence of methamphetamine and ecstasy pills was converted into Rp65.2 billion.
The evidence of methamphetamine and ecstasy pills was confiscated from nine suspects. The disclosure of this case is based on four police reports carried out from January to March 2023.
According to Thomas, the nine people who were named as suspects in drug cases came from different networks.
The destruction of methamphetamine and ecstasy pills was carried out using an incinerator belonging to the Jambi Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) and also a blender.
Prior to the destruction, the Jambi Police's Narcotics Directorate conducted a preliminary examination of the authenticity of the narcotics evidence. This effort was made to ensure that the evidence really contained drugs and not fake evidence.
