Cases Increase, Ministry Of Health Ensures Sufficient Stock Of COVID-19 Vaccine
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health ensures that the stock of COVID-19 vaccines for the first and second booster vaccination services in health facilities is sufficient.
"Please come to fasyankes (health care facilities) for vaccines. The stock is currently safe," said Head of the Communication and Public Service Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 2.
Nadia said the available COVID-19 vaccine is very sufficient, especially now that there is a domestically produced vaccine.
The Ministry of Health has added the IndoVacproduction BioFarma vaccine as a booster vaccine for Pfizer's primary vaccine.
"In order for the pandemic to continue to be controlled, the government has added a type of booster vaccine to increase public protection from COVID-19, especially for vulnerable communities," said Nadia.
Vaccination is important to increase the body's resistance to the coronavirus attack that causes COVID-19, including the subvariant Arcturus virus.
Although it has not yet caused a spike in cases in Indonesia, Nadia said, the transmission of the corona virus subvariant still needs to be watched out for.
