Kawasaki Presents Duck Motorcycles For 2025 Ready To Challenge Honda And Yamaha

JAKARTA - The motorcycle duck segment is one of the commodities committed in two-wheeled vehicles. Not only economically in terms of price, but the duck motor is very friendly to use in daily activities.

Motor manufacturers such as Yamaha and Honda have dominated the motorcycle duck market in recent decades. This is what makes rival manufacturers, such as Kawasaki, look at the compact motorbike market.

Although motorcycle ducks are not popular for the global market, this type of motorbike is very well sold in various Southeast Asian countries, such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

Recently, Kawasaki collaborated with a Malaysian manufacturer, Modenas is preparing a super duck motorbike or commonly called a supermoped with 150 cc engines.

Reporting from imotorbike.my, Wednesday, April 26, the duck motor has been assembled and has undergone a series of trials. This was done in order to perfect the motor before it was launched in 2024.

The super duck motor will use an underbone frame, such as a common duck motor. Although it has not disclosed the specifications, the manufacturer promises to embed an engine powered with a capacity of 150 cc.

If the motorbike is marketed in Indonesia, it will compete with other duck motorcycles, such as Yamaha MX King and Honda Supra GTR 150.

For the Malaysian market itself, the motorcycle duck segment is currently controlled by brands such as Yamaha Y15ZR and Y16ZR which dominate 150 cc class.
