PDIP Regarding Allegations Of Cadres In DKI DPRD Participate In Enjoying Pulogebang Land Corruption Money: We Don't Interfere

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, opened his voice about allegations that members of his faction, Cinta Mega, were involved in land corruption in Pulogebang, East Jakarta. Gembong handed over the investigation of this case to the KPK.

"If it is already a legal issue, we will leave it entirely to law enforcement officials. We respect the ongoing process," said Gembong when contacted, Friday, April 28.

If the alleged Cinta Mega participates in enjoying the land project corruption money at BUMD Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya is proven true, Gembong emphasized that it was not related to his party.

"What is done is personal, we do not interfere in business, especially the ongoing legal process. Whatever is being carried out by the KPK, the basic principle is we respect that," said Gembong.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the DPD DPIP DKI Jakarta said that his party was still waiting for the results of the investigation of alleged corruption at the KPK to be completed, before taking action with the potential for sanctions for Cinta Mega as a party cadre.

"The party has a mechanism for cadres like that. Later the party will determine the next steps related to what the person concerned is doing," he explained.

Previously, the KPK suspected that DKI Jakarta DPRD member F-PDIP Cinta Mega was involved in the splash of corruption in land acquisition in Pulo Gebang, East Jakarta. Investigators are still investigating this allegation.

"The information we have obtained is correct there is such a suspicion (allegedly receiving the flow of money, ed)," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri.

Ali has not detailed this allegation. However, Cinta has been examined as a witness in this case on Wednesday, April 26. A number of things were investigated by investigators during the examination, including the alleged flow of money. It is suspected that other parties participated in receiving hot money and they are currently being targeted by the KPK.

"It was confirmed regarding the alleged flow of money received by the parties in the discussion of the budget in question," said Ali.

Next, investigators are also investigating Regional Capital Participation (PMD) from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to the Sarana Jaya Regional Public Company (Perumda). One of the PMD designations is related to land acquisition.

Previously, allegations of corruption in land acquisition in Pulogebang Village, Cakung District, East Jakarta occurred in 2018-2019. This process was carried out by Perumda Sarana Jaya.

The KPK has not detailed who the suspects are. However, a series of investigation efforts have been carried out, including conducting a search at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building on January 18.

Six rooms were searched, including the office on the 10th floor, 8, 6, 4, 2, and the staff of Commission C of the DKI DPRD. One of them is called the Cinta Mega room which is a member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the PDIP faction.
