The Number of Reverse Currents At Bakauheni Port Towards Merak Has Increased
Lampung - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Branch Bakauheni recorded the number of passengers from Bakauheni Port in South Lampung to Merak Port in Banten reaching 47,405 people on D+1 Eid 2023.
General Manager of PT ASDP Branch Bakauheni, Rudi Sunarko, said that the number of passengers was divided into two parts, namely pedestrians and those in vehicles.
"For pedestrian passengers traveling to Merak Port, Banten, there were 4,253 people, and for passengers in vehicles, there were 43,152 people," said Rudi, quoted by ANTARA, on Monday, April 24.
He said that based on the data, the number of passengers crossing from Bakauheni Port to Merak Port on Eid Day and the H+1 return flow continued to increase day by day.

Based on the Eid Transportation data in Bakauheni Port on April 23, 2023, from 08.00 AM until April 24, 2023, at 08.00 AM, the number of passengers heading to Java Island continued to increase, with the number of vehicles crossing from Sumatra to Java Island reaching 10,045 units. This number is significantly higher than the same period one day earlier, which was only 6,039 units.
He explained that vehicle passengers were divided into four types, namely two-wheeled vehicles, four-wheeled vehicles, buses, and large trucks.
"For vehicles crossing, there were 3,044 units of two-wheeled vehicles, 6,531 units of four-wheeled vehicles, 166 buses, and 304 large trucks," he said.
Rudi Sunarko advised ferry service users to buy Ferizy tickets in advance.
"So we advise prospective travelers from Java to Sumatra and vice versa who will use ASDP ferry services to buy tickets in advance," said Rudi Sunarko.
