Uya Kuya Welcomes the Arrival of 7 Illegal Migrant Workers from Malaysia

JAKARTA - Uya Kuya and his wife, Astrid Khairunisa welcomed the return of 7 illegal Indonesian workers (TKI) from Malaysia at Soekarno Hatta Airport on Tuesday, April 18 yesterday.

As is well known, recently Uya Kuya, through his YouTube channel, often discusses the problems of migrant workers abroad.

As for the decision to help migrant workers return to their homeland, said Uya, so that he would not be seen as someone who only took advantage of the sadness of migrant workers for mere content.

"So you see, I'm not someone who just makes a fuss, I just want to keep them in content without any follow-up, mostly that's it. I want concrete evidence, we'll go home, from there we'll pick it up. Not only until here, but to where it came from", said Uya Kuya after welcoming the arrival of the TKI.

What Uya did by picking him up was immediately acknowledged not just out of compassion. He admitted that he was annoyed with the number of people who took advantage of the weaknesses of illegal migrant workers.

"Moreover, we hear a lot of complaints from migrant workers that when they arrived in Indonesia they met brokers. They were blackmailed, told to exchange their dollar bills into rupiah, and were harmed. Then, their goods were bullied, they were forced to extort them along the way. How could these brokers be hanging around the airport. But, this problem is never finished. That's what makes me angry", he said.

Uya said that the success of the 7 illegal migrant workers returning to their homeland was also assisted by the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI).

"Finally, through the assistance of the Indonesian Embassy, they continued to be assisted. All of the Indonesian Embassy took care of the documents. It finally happened, today we were able to send 7 people home", concluded Uya Kuya.
