Defense Minister Asks Kopassus Setia To Take Care Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto asked the Special Forces Command (Kopassus) to remain enthusiastic, ready, loyal, and brave in protecting Indonesia.

"Continue to be enthusiastic, ready, loyal, brave wherever you serve. Keep Indonesia strong, just, and prosperous. And Indonesia continues to advance, be brave, correct, successful," Prabowo said in the video congratulating the 71st Anniversary of Kopassus, which was received by ANTARA in Jakarta, Sunday,.

Thus, Prabowo hopes that Kopassus will be more prepared, loyal, and brave to serve wherever the troops are assigned.

In the video, Prabowo as the former Danjen Kopassus in 1996 congratulated Kopassus. Kopassus' birthday is celebrated every July 16.

"Commando! I, Prabowo Subianto, Lieutenant General of the Retired TNI Commander General of the 15th Special Forces Command, wish you a happy birthday of the 71st Special Forces Command. All Indonesian people are proud of you," Prabowo said when opening the video he said.

This year's Kopassus Anniversary has the theme Kopassus-Ku, Kopassus Kita, Kopassus Patriot, and Kopassus for Indonesia. This theme aims to further strengthen the Indonesian Kopassus.
