KAI Will Add Four Panoramic Train Carriages In The Middle Of This Year
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI plans to add a Panoramic train in the middle of this year. KAI will add four carriages and new routes.
KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo said the operation of the new Panoramic train is planned to coincide with the holiday moments of school children in June.
"The target is that in June we will launch to coincide with school children's holidays," he said at Metropole Cikini, Central Jakarta, Friday, April 14.
Didiek said, there was an adjustment to the Panoramic train used. One of them is the number of passenger seats. Previously 46 seats became 38 seats.
Didiek explained that with the initial scheme of 46 seats, there were some passengers who could not enjoy the wide view. Therefore, KAI also took the option to reduce the number of seats.
Of the 38 seats, there is space in front and back, so it can be made for entertainment, it can be acoustic and others. So we give quality experience, so if you want to try the Panoramic train, you don't have to go to Switzerland, in Indonesia too," he said.
New Route Panoramic Train
Didiek said that the currently available Panoramic train has two carriages. First, connected to the Argo Parahyangan train ( train number 51) with the Bandung-Gambir relationship. Second, the Argo Wilis train ( train number 5) with the Surabaya Gubeng-Bandung relation.
Furthermore, Didiek said, KAI plans to add new routes. One of them is serving the route to Solo at the request of the Mayor of Surakarta (Solo), Gibran Rakabuming.
"We will distribute it later. At that time we went to Yogyakarta, Solo also asked, Mas Wali also asked," said Didiek.
For your information, the price of individual Panoramic train tickets was priced at Rp375,000 (KA Argo Parahyangan Jakarta-Bandung pp) and Rp1.12 million (KA Argo Wilis Bandung-Surabaya Gubeng pp).
