Paratrooper Died While Doing Rehearsal For The 77th Anniversary Of The Indonesian Air Force At Halim Air Force Base
JAKARTA - Sertu (First Sergeant) Agung Dwano Karisma, a member of the Indonesian Air Force, had an accident while carrying out a boogie jump during the 2nd dirty rehearsal, a ceremony to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the Indonesian Air Force at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta, Wednesday, April 5. Sertu Agung died in the incident.
Based on information from the Indonesian Air Force Information Service, Sertu Agung's body was then buried with a military ceremony. The burial was led by Dankopasgat Marsda TNI Wahyu Hidayat, at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta.
"The body was flown using a CN-235 Indonesian Air Force aircraft to Husein Sastranegara Air Force Base, for burial in Soreang, Bandung district," quoted from an official statement from the Indonesian Air Force Information Service, Wednesday, April 5.
While leading the funeral of the body, the Kopasgat commander expressed his deep sorrow for the tragedy that Sertu Agung had experienced.

"The accident that Sertu Agung experienced occurred when this Pasgat soldier was having a boogie jump training session with Kopasgat soldiers," the statement read.
After the incident, the victim was taken to the Dr. Esnawan Air Force Hospital (RSAU), Jakarta. After that incident, the Indonesian Air Force was still carrying out an investigation regarding the cause of the accident experienced by Sertu Agung.
