The National Police Predicts That There Will Be 2 Peaks Of The 2023 Eid Homecoming Flow
JAKARTA - The National Police predicts that the peak of the 2023 Eid homecoming will occur on two occasions. The reason is the government's decision to advance collective leave time related to Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri.
In the Joint Decree (SKB) 3 Ministers of Leave with Lebaran are set on April 19 to 25, 2023.
"There are two estimates (of the peak) of going home because for leave it is advanced," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Sandi Nugroho to reporters, Wednesday, April 5.
The peak of the first homecoming flow is predicted to occur at the beginning of collective leave or April 19. Then the second on April 21 or D-2 Lebaran.
"It is estimated that it will be the peak of homecoming from 19 to 21 April," he said.

Therefore, the National Police and related agencies have prepared a vehicle security and prevention scheme in case of congestion. One of them is by holding Operation Ketupat 2023.
"Operation Ketupat will be operated on ketupat which will be held from April 17 to May 1," said Sandi.
Then, service and security posts will also be established later. So, people feel safe and comfortable on their way back to their respective hometowns.
"For other related posts, whether it's for rest areas, then the need for fuel, or other supporting facilities is also being investigated and checked, so that there are no obstacles when the community will go home and return," said Sandi.
