JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will inaugurate the minister of youth and sports (menpora) and the head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) next week or early April.
"Next week," said President Jokowi in Bogor Regency, West Java, Friday, March 31, as reported by Antara.
The inauguration of the new head of BNPT is to replace Komjen Pol Boy Rafli Amar who is entering retirement. Jokowi is still reluctant to reveal who the figure he has chosen to replace Boy Rafli Amar is.
"Later," he added.
Boy Rafli entered retirement in March 2023 because he was 58 years old. Boy was inaugurated by President Jokowi as Head of BNPT on May 6, 2020 replacing Komjen Pol. Suhardi Alius.

Meanwhile, when asked further whether the inauguration of the new head of BNPT coincided with the inauguration of the menpora to replace Zainudin Amali, Jokowi also answered briefly.
"Next week," he said.
Zainudin Amali officially resigned from his position as menpora in early March 2023 because he was elected as Deputy General Chair I of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) for the period 2023-2027.
Menpora's duties and responsibilities were then carried out by the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Muhadjir Effendy as the Menpora Acting Officer (Plt).
