Febri Quits, KPK Will Evaluate Personnel System
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Nurul Ghufron, said that he would evaluate the internal staffing system of anti-corruption institutions.
This followed the resignation of Febri Diansyah, who was then Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the KPK. Based on information, prior to Febri, there were 37 permanent employees and non-permanent employees of the KPK who resigned from January to September 2020.
"Internally, we will evaluate the KPK staffing system," said Nurul Ghufron when confirmed, Saturday, September 26.
He said the KPK respected the steps taken by employees to resign. The KPK is grateful for the dedication of Febri and 37 other employees who have spent their time raising the KPK.
"Good luck for the future to all of them, and of course we respect the personal decisions of KPK employees," he said.
According to Ghufron, the KPK in all its current conditions is a test. Whatever the reason, said Ghufron, the KPK is not a place to relax. The KPK is a candradimuka for anti-corruption fighters.
"We are not proud of those who entered with all their strengths. But we are very respectful and proud of those who remain in the KPK with us now with all the current shortcomings of the KPK," he said.
However, he said, a fighter would not leave the arena before victory was won. Although the arena of anti-corruption struggle has now changed like anything.
"Congratulations to those who are still able to faithfully love the KPK because change is a certainty that cannot be avoided. Only true lovers are able to survive any change. Love is not only enjoying the joy with love in everything it is," he said.
