JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) strengthens digitalization of central banking services through simplification (ease of doing business) integrating digital licensing services.

"Bank Indonesia strengthens the digital transformation of banking services through simplification of licensing service integration through integrated licensing and launching e-tracking features of e-Licensing applications, with professional principles, accountability, simple, transparent, and informative," said Deputy Governor of BI Doni P Joewono quoting Antara.

Doni said that various ongoing improvement initiatives have been carried out by Bank Indonesia as an effort to simplify procedures, strengthen digital transformation, collaborate efforts between BI and its strategic partners both at the national and international levels, thus making BI's central banking services better and more agile.

In providing central banking services, BI synergizes with the government and strategic partners through collaboration in the framework of harmonization of monetary and fiscal policies, processing government financial transactions, contributing to national economic recovery, and developing inter-institutional infrastructure in order to support the completion of financial transactions.

Furthermore, BI realized its commitment to continue to improve the quality of central bank services and document management. This is reflected in BI's acquisition of a number of international certifications, namely information system security standards (ISO 27001:2013), BI risk management and task continuity management (ISO 22301:2019).

In addition, BI meets the achievement of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard for Customer and Licensing Services, Banking and Government Customer Services, Tresuri and Banking System Operational Services, and Tresuri and Non-Tresuri Services, and archival management standards in BI (ISO 15489:2016).

The improvement of these services is an important thing to support the formulation of Bank Indonesia's policy for national economic stability.

"This recognition will increase credibility while maintaining standard service quality to Bank Indonesia's central bank. Without the support of all parties, synergy and collaboration, this achievement cannot be realized," said Doni.

BI also signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Finance for the implementation of the Host to Host of the Treasury and State Budget System (SPAN) to the Core Banking System (CBS) as support for the completion of seamless financial transactions and information exchanges as well as digitizing the Interconnection of the Debet Warkat sorting System (SPWD) to BI-CBS.

It is hoped that these various steps will support the achievement of Bank Indonesia's vision to become the leading digital central bank that has a real contribution to the national economy.
