JAKARTA - The Regional 8 Bali and Nusa Tenggara Financial Services Authority (OJK) launched Agricultural Priority Sector Credit/ Financing (KPSP) to Padi Farmers at the Bali Financial Experience Festival (BALI FINEF) 2023 at the Mario Building, Tabanan Regency.

The launch of the KPSP was carried out by the Deputy Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners, Mirza Adityaswara, accompanied by Member of Commission XI DPR RI I Gusti Agung Rai Wirajaya, Head of OJK Regional 8 Bali and Nusa Tenggara Kristrianti Puji Rahayu, Regent of Tabanan I Komang Gede Sanjaya, Chairman of the Communication Forum of the Bali Province Financial Services Institute (FKLJK) I Nyoman Sudharma, as well as administrators and members of the FKLJK Bali Province.

"In the future, the KPSP in Tabanan Regency is expected to be a solution to the problems faced by farmers with the target of rice farmers in subak groups who are community organizations that specifically regulate the rice fields (irrigation) irrigation system," said Deputy Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners, Mirza Adityaswara in his statement, Saturday, October 28.

Mirza said that the agricultural sector KPSP is expected to boost credit/financing for the agricultural sector in Bali, which is still very low, which is only 5.13 percent of the industrial credit portfolio in Bali.

"This amount is still far from credit in the tourism support sector (accommodation, eating and drinking), which has doubled in portion," he explained.

Mirza hopes that in the future the existence of KPSP can help with capital for farmers when they start the rice planting season.

Previously, in June 2021 the OJK had issued a Generation Model for the Priority Sector Credit/Financing Scheme (KPSP) of Agriculture which became a reference for the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) program in the agricultural sector.
