Until The Third Quarter, BRI Salurkan KUR Worth Rp107.84 Trillion

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) melahirkan telah menyalurkan Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) sebesar Rp107,84 trilin hingga kuartal III tahun 2023.

BRI's Director of Micro Business, Supari, in his presentation said that the target for distributing KUR set by BRI this year was IDR 194.4 trillion.

"This is a commitment even though the new policy apparatus was complete last September but BRI still has a high commitment to the distribution of KUR," Supari said in a press conference quoted on Thursday, October 26.

He further emphasized that KUR is a credit given to the public and not aid or grants, where 100 percent KUR funding sources come from bank funds obtained from collecting public funds.

"Therefore, KUR is obliged to return, to be repaid by displacing it according to the credit agreement, which we both agree with customers at the time of disbursement at the beginning," continued Supari.

He explained that BRI is part of the KUR distribution bank and the channeling bank is downstream so it must and must comply with existing regulations starting from the Regulation of the Minister of the Economy (Permenko) and the Decree of the Minister of Finance, including the process business and technical guidelines (juknis) from KUR stakeholders and all policies.

"I need to say that all KUR policy devices are complete since September 1, 2023," added Supari.

Talking about MSMEs, he said, not only talked about KUR because it was recorded until September 2023, as a bank focused on MSMEs, BRI has distributed loans to MSMEs amounting to Rp394 trillion, an increase of 18.1 percent compared to the 2022 period which only amounted to Rp33 trillion.

"In the Rp394 trillion, even though KUR has only been distributed 55.47 percent, it turns out that the public is not waiting for KUR at all. As of September 2023, the growth of the BRI Kupedes was recorded at 57.5 percent. It is true in BRI's research that MSME business customers are not sensitive to interest rates," concluded Supari.
