Ganjar's Steps To Attract Investment To Indonesia: Extortion Basmi And Give Legal Certainty

JAKARTA - The presidential candidate (readpres) Ganjar Pranowo has a move to attract investment into the country.

There are a number of factors that must be taken care of so that investment can run smoothly. One of them is related to illegal levies or extortion.

"Pungli must be taken care of, services are easier, cheaper, and faster to do," he said at the US-Indonesia Investment Summit, Tuesday, October 24.

In addition, continued Ganjar, legal certainty also needs to be enforced. Ganjar considers this to be another obstacle for investors in investing in Indonesia.

"Maybe entrepreneurs tell me, what is currently never stable, so we who have invested often get problems when the company starts running," he said.

However, said Ganjar, this certainty and legal action also needs to be included with clear, precise and firm regulations.

"There must be regulations that handle investment. So that there is legal certainty and clear action," he said.

The former governor of Central Java assessed the need for investment efficiency to open up new economic opportunities in Indonesia.

That way, investors can also easily enter into investing.

"Efficiency can be done if then investors enter not too difficult," he explained.

He said, this efficiency can be done in various ways. One of them is by utilizing the digitalization system. In the government system, he continued, there is already an Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).

"And we have practiced it can be efficient," he said.
