Not Accepting Fines Of IDR 10.9 Billion, PT LEN Files An Appeal

JAKARTA - President Director of LEN Industri Bobby Rasyidin said his party would file an appeal through the Central Jakarta Commercial Court as a rebuttal to the decision of the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU).

For your information, KPPU imposed fines on PT LEN Industri and PT TEN Railway Systems with a total value of Rp. 10.9 billion.

In detail, PT LEN Industri was decided to have to pay a fine of Rp. 6 billion and LEN Railway Sytems was fined Rp. 4.9 billion.

This fine is related to the conspiracy for the Procurement Work for the Electrical Cross-Bogor-Cicurug Railway Doubles System Development Project in the West Java Regional Railway Engineering Center Work Unit, Ministry of Transportation for Fiscal Year 2019-2021.

"We are appealing, we are appealing," he said when met at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 10.

Furthermore, Bobby explained, this step to file an appeal was taken because the company did not agree with the KPPU's decision.

Not because of the amount of fines required by KPPU.

"No, no (about the amount of the fine). (More because we denied it), yes, we should have denied it," he said.

But unfortunately, Bobby did not explain in detail about the timing of the alleged project conspiracy.

Even so, he said, the project was running on an annual basis.

"Oh, that's a lot of years, there were a few years like that," he said.
