Estika Tata Tiara Incar Imports 15,000 Cows By 2024

JAKARTA - PT Esteka Tata Tiara Tbk (BEEF) is applying for permission from the government to import 14 thousand live cows to 15 thousand heads by 2024.

Meanwhile, this livestock company targets to increase by 17-25 percent year on year (yoy) compared to the company's cattle import license in 2023 which is 12 thousand.

"While completing the quota in 2023, we also took care of import permits of 14 thousand-15 thousand individuals for 2024 at a price of Rp. 15 million to Rp. 20 million per head," said BEEF President Director Imam Subowo quoting Antara.

In an effort to achieve this target, he said the company was preparing infrastructure to accommodate the increase in the number of imported live cows.

In addition, the company will also build local cattle cages with a capacity of 200 to 500 cows for sales in Eid al-Adha in 2024.

"At least we have to sell 1,000 cows per month," said Imam.

According to him, the increase in the target number of imported live cows must be accompanied by an increase in sales of processed beef foods,

"We will build cold storage on an area of 20 hectares in Subang Regency, with a storage capacity of 25 thousand tons of meat," said Imam.

BEEF has held an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) which approved Edhy Rizwan's resignation as Director of the Company and was replaced by Zuraida.

The company also honorably dismissed Juan Permata Adoe, Benedict Setio Pramono, and Juanita Gracianti Adoe as Commissioners of the Company.

During the first semester of 2023, the company posted a profit for the current year of IDR 52.003 billion or reversed compared to the same period in 2022 which recorded a loss of IDR 40.596 billion.

The company's profit was supported by revenues that jumped 2.050 percent year on year (yoy) to Rp301.7 billion at the end of June 2023, with details of distribution and sales of Rp297.55 billion and food processing of Rp4.781 billion.
