We will speed up the construction of the Minister's Office House at IKN and are targeting by mid-2024 all housing units will be built and ready to be occupied," said Iwan in a written statement, as received by VOI, on Tuesday, September 26.

Iwan said that the construction of the house was carried out in parallel with the landscape arrangement. Greening and pedestrian arrangements for pedestrians around the construction site are also carried out so that the environmental condition is maintained and comfortable to live in.

"We also installed solar panels to maximize the use of electrical energy in residential units. We also asked that existing trees not be cut down, while continuing to plant trees so that the environment remains green and beautiful," he said.

A total of 24 units of Persil 104 Ministerial Site Houses were built on an area of 10.6 hectares (ha). The 25 upslope-type building is intended for residences located on hill ridges, with the elevation behind the house being higher than the road elevation.

Meanwhile, the 11 downslope-type units built are intended for residences on hill slopes so that the elevation behind the house is lower than the road elevation.

Apart from being designed to follow the contour of the land so as to minimize cut and fill, the Ministerial Landing House is also designed to be responsive to climate and disasters. A Smart Design Building system has also been implemented with 100 percent access to the internet and Wi-Fi. so that it becomes an integrated smart area.

The work on the Minister's Office Site House is targeted for completion in 2024. This construction work is one of the supporting infrastructure in preparation for holding the flag ceremony commemorating the 79th Indonesian Independence Day on 17 August 2024 at IKN.
