MIND ID Boss Calls Only Once Dividendable, Vale Gives Answer

JAKARTA - President Director of MIND ID Hendi Prio Santoso revealed that during his time as a shareholder in PT Vale Indonesia, he had only received dividends once.

Responding to this, Vale's management in a written statement gave an answer. Vale said that his party had made two dividend payments in May 2021 of 40 percent of the company's net profit for the financial year ending December 31, 2020. And the second payment was made in May 2023 of 30 percent of the Company's net profit for the financial year ending December 31, 2022.

The amount of dividends paid to shareholders is 33,128 thousand US dollars in 2021 or the equivalent of around Rp505 billion.

"And amounting to 60,120 thousand US dollars in 2023 or equivalent to Rp917 billion (USD1: Rp15,263 as of August 29, 2023)," said Head of Corcom Vale, Bayu Aji, Friday, September 1.

Previously in a Hearing Meeting with Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, the Managing Director of MIND ID said that if for three years he controlled Vale, MIND ID had only once received a share of 30 million US dollars.

"So there were several years from 2020 to 2022 there were no dividends. So we also noted the low investment returns that have been invested in PTVI," added Hendi.

For this reason, he stated that he wanted to be the control holder of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO).

According to him, this is in accordance with the mandate of the government and it has the decision to consolidate it.

"And become the controlling shareholder of PT Vale Indonesia," said Hendi.

In addition, he said, his party wanted to be the controller of the fulfillment of PTVI's business because his party considered Vale's track record and track record to be not optimal as long as they were in control.
