Ministry Of Transportation: 10 Jabodebek LRT Trainsets Will Be Operated During Inauguration

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) revealed that the number of train series or trainsets of the Jabodebek LRT that will be used during the inauguration is 10 series.

The operational inauguration is planned to be carried out on August 30.

Director General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation Risal Wasal said that currently there are 27 series of LRT Jabodebek trainers.

However, at the time of inauguration not all of them were used only 10 train series.

This means that the use of trains will be gradual in accordance with demand or demand.

"The next two weeks (after the inauguration) 17 trains (will be operated. Later until October 27, we will fully operationalize the train," explained Risal.

Risal said the number of trains operated was still flexible.

However, he continued, the Ministry of Transportation will see the needs of the community.

Still, Risal said, later on in the field the needs are large, so there will be 10 trainsets added before the second week.

"The Railway Travel Cerfib (Gapeka) that we issue is 27 trainsets per day. Headway is seven out of 3.5 minutes. Seven minutes from Bekasi, Cibubur, once entering Jakarta 3.5 minutes there will be a problem," he said.
