Maybank Indonesia Disburses IDR 1 Trillion Financing To PNM

JAKARTA - PT Maybank Indonesia Tbk, through the Sharia Business Unit (UUS), disbursed Mudharabah financing to PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) worth IDR 1 trillion to be distributed to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The financing will later be distributed to pre-sesejahterable women who are ultra-micro class business actors with family conditions that have a maximum per capita income index of 1.99 US dollars per day or IDR 800 thousand per month. In addition, to fulfill the Cashpoor Index House through the Mekaar Syariah program.

"The facility provided to PNM is the first sustainable social financial-based financing for Maybank Indonesia and is in line with UUS Maybank Indonesia's business growth plan strategy which focuses on sharia-based business development by accommodating elements of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)," said Maybank Indonesia Global Banking Director Ricky Antariksa in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 3.

The Mekaar Syariah program consists of activities to increase family financial management, financing unsecured capital, building a culture of saving, increasing entrepreneurial competence, and business development.

"We hope this collaboration will have a positive and wider impact on the sharia economy as a whole," said Ricky.

On the other hand, the Director of Strategic Planning & Finance of PNM, Ninis Kesuma Adriani, said that the collaboration with Maybank Indonesia would encourage distribution to the ultra micro sector from the total distribution of PNM financing last year which amounted to Rp64 trillion.

"PNM also provides assistance in developing business capacity for customers and monitoring regularly so that the growth of these customers is not stagnant and can advance to class," explained Ninis.

PNM is a financial service institution that provides financing and empowering MSMEs and cooperatives. One of the PNM programs is Mekaar Syariah which has almost 10 million customers or 74.7 percent of the total number of PNM Mekaar customers.
