Strengthen Logistics Connectivity, Pelindo Subholding Operates 4 Ports In Java And NTB

JAKARTA - PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT) Subholding Pelindo, which is engaged in non-petikes terminal operational services, is preparing to hand over four port operations, starting from Semarang, Central Java, Gresik, East Java, as well as Lembar and Badas in West Nusa Tenggara.

Especially on the island of Java, previously SPMT had operated three ports on the island of Java, namely Jamrud Nilam Mirah in Surabaya, Tanjung Wangi in Banyuwangi, and Tanjung Intan in Cilacap.

Selain itu, SPMT lewat anak perusahaan PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok juga mengelola tiga port nonpetikmas di Jawa yaitu di Jakarta, Banten, dan Cirebon. Sementara itu, Lembar dan Badas menjadi dua port pertama yang akan dikelola SPMT di kawasan Nusa Tenggara.

Pelindo Multi Terminal Corporate Secretaryappropriation Sari Utami explained that the socialization of the operation handover of the Badas Port, Lembar Harbor, Tanjung Emas Port Semarang and Gresik Port from Pelindo to SPMT was part of a mission to provide port services.

"Currently, SPMT focuses its port services on the management of non-sustenance terminals such as liquid bulk terminals, dry bulk, multipurpose, to vehicle terminals, in accordance with the company's mission as the operator of the multipurpose terminal by creating an ecosystem that provides added value," he said, in a written statement, Tuesday, July 25.

In practice, it will be explained by haphazard, as terminal operators at Badas Port, Sheet Port, Tanjung Emas Port, and Gresik Port, SPMT will optimize and develop terminals.

Development is carried out in several ways, namely conducting connectivity with other multipurpose terminals, implementing best practices of SOP management of multipurpose terminals, Operation Excellence, increasing or standardizing aspects of security and safety, and conducting certified loading and unloading operator training.

Through the port operations at these four ports, said warehousing, PT Pelindo Multi Terminal will operate loading and unloading services for non-packaging commodities, as well as loading and unloading containers in Lembar and Badas.

In addition, SPMT will also manage People's Port services at the four ports, as well as TUKS services in Tanjung Emas and Gresik. Outside these four ports, SPMT will also operate passenger terminals at Parepare Port later.

Meanwhile, General Manager of Badas Port Kunto Wibisono welcomed the socialization activity of the Badas port terminal operation plan by Pelindo Multi Terminal.

Meanwhile, KSOP class IV at the port of Badas Suripto said it fully supports the implementation of the handover of this operation. He hopes that this collaboration can provide progress for Sumbawa, NTB.

"We really hope that this collaboration can provide progress for Sumbawa, NTB, especially in the port area of Badas, as well as industry which will lead to an increase in welfare for the wider community," hoped Suripto.

The socialization activity for the handover of Badas Port operations was attended by Kunto Wibisono, General Manager of Badas Port, as well as Suripto, KSOP class IV of Badas port. Meanwhile, the Gresik Port handover socialization activity was attended by Johanes Wahyu as CEO of PT Pelindo Indonesia (Persero) Java Subregional Subregion, and Hotman Siagian, as Head of Harbormaster and Gresik Class II Port Authority.

The socialization activity for the handover of operations at Tanjung Emas Port was attended directly by SVP Komersial Pelindo Multi Terminal I Wayan Wirawan, Representative of KSOP Tanjung Emas Semarang, Taufik, Head of the Sartono Port Business and Service Guidance Section. Others, the socialization activities of the handover of operations of the four ports were also attended by all port stakeholders.

Badas Port, which is located in Sumbawa Besar, Sumbawa Regency, since 2013 has officially become a node of economic growth on Sumbawa Island and its surroundings. This port has four piers so that it speeds up the loading and unloading process. Meanwhile, Lembar Harbor is located in Lembar, West Lombok Regency, NTB, and serves cargo ships and passenger ships.

Tanjung Emas Port in Semarang, Central Java serves general cargo loading and unloading activities. Meanwhile, Gresik Port, which is also known as a passenger port and goods, in its operations it serves loading and unloading in the Gresik industrial area, both loading and unloading of dry bulk, liquid bulk, public cargo, and containers.
