Increase Financial Inclusion To The Thousand Islands, Bank DKI Holds Digital Island People's Party

JAKARTA - Bank DKI collaborated with the Financial Services Authority, Bank Indonesia, and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government on Friday, July 21, 2023, to present the DKI Bank DKI Digital Island People's Festival with various events: financial literacy socialization, MSME booths. Residents of Pramuka Island, Thousand Islands, Education on digital Bank DKI digital products and entertainment events.

The event was attended by the President Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy and the Board of Directors of Bank DKI, Chief Executive of Banking Supervision of the Financial Services Authority, Dian Ediana Rae, Head of OJK Regional Offices 1 DKI Jakarta and Banten, Roberto Akyuwen, Regent of Thousand Islands Administration, Junaedi and Member of Commission XI DPR RI, Kamrussamad.

President Director of Bank DKI, Fidri Arnaldy said that the Digital Island People's Party of Bank DKI' is a forum for increasing financial inclusion and literacy, in this case digital banking to all communities, especially residents of Pramuka Island, is prepared as an island for the sake of organizing international events.

"We know that the Thousand Islands, especially Pramuka Island, are the centers of national tourism, and Bank DKI takes a role here by preparing the community through digital financial education and literacy," said Fidri. in his statement, Monday, July 24.

For information, through the DKI Bank Digital People's Party, the people of Pramuka Island were introduced closer to various digital products and services of Bank DKI, such as JakOne Abank, JakOne Merchant and and most recently, namely JakErte.

Not only that, the public can also obtain in-depth information related to other banking product programs such as KEJAR, to Hajj and Umrah Savings (Taharoh). On this occasion, Bank DKI's MSME Village was also inaugurated, which is a Social Responsibility program for Bank DKI, where in the program, Bank DKI is rearranging with a digitalization approach through the JakOne Abank application, and JakOne Merchant for temporary locations (loksem) for MSME traders.

The Chief Executive of Banking Supervision of the Financial Services Authority, Dian Ediana Rae expressed hope that Bank DKI as a Regional Development Bank (BPD) can play a role as a regional champion, and host the DKI Jakarta area, through even wider market penetration, one of which is by organizing literacy and financial inclusion activities.

"I think this activity (Red: Bank DKI Digital People's Party) is a good example for Bank DKI in terms of market penetration, as well as educating digital banking transactions in the Thousand Islands," he said.

In line with this, the Regent of the Thousand Islands Administration, Junaedi in his speech expressed his appreciation for the collaboration in the implementation of the DKI Bank Digital Island People's Party as a form of attention to the people of Pramuka Island, especially in providing access to financial services.

"This is a sign that the Thousand Islands are not left behind, and the community can be helped by learning digital financial transactions, and encouraging increased economic contribution, especially MSME players," said Junaedi.

Under the leadership of Bank DKI President Director, Fidri Arnaldy, Bank DKI continues to improve digital services, by realizing various flagship programs including: establishing a Command Center to strengthen Bank DKI's digital product and service control function, developing features and services for digital applications, and presenting a New Flagship Branch and increasing the number of CRMs (Cash Recycle Machine).

Synergy and collaboration are also being carried out and developed by Bank DKI, including through cooperation in cash withdrawals without cards at BNI, BCA, and CIMB ATMs, as well as cooperation with Indomaret in providing cardless cash withdrawal services throughout the Indomaret network, then also cooperation with perbarindo in terms of digitization of BPR, and most recently carried out is partnership with BC Card Asia in the context of providing Payment Services Systems.

For the various efforts that have been made by Bank DKI, throughout 2023 Bank DKI has won 53 award categories from independent institutions in various fields, such as human resources (HR), governance & risk, technology, to digital products and services. The last few awards that Bank DKI has won include Indonesia Most Prestigious Company 2023 with Outstanding in Accommodating Various Needs of Public Financial Transactions, KBMI 2 categories, Indonesia Most Acclaimed Company Awards (IMACO) 2023 from Warta Ekonomi, then the Top Bank 2023 Award and Top Banking CEO 2023 at the 4th Indonesia Top Bank Awards 2023 and Indonesia Top Banking CEO 2023 from The Iconomis and 7 (seven) award categories as well as in the 20th Infobank - MRI Banking Service Excellence 2023 from Infobank.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, on the same occasion added that Bank DKI will continue to encourage various implementation of banking service inclusion and education activities, especially non-cash transactions.
