Pertamina Patra Niaga Distributes 200 Kilograms Of Methanol To A Chemical Solvent Company

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga through the West Java Regional (RJBB) conducted the initial distribution of 2000 metric tons (MT) or the equivalent of 2 million kg of methanol products to chemical solvent distributor companies in the Merak area from 14 to 15 July 2023.

Sales Branch Manager of Petrochemical Regional JBB Nuriz Zaman said this methanol distribution is an expansion of petrochemical products which is expected to be one of the commodities that can boost sales growth at Pertamina Patra Niaga.

"Hopefully, Pertamina's commitment to expanding in Petrochemical products can meet Methanol's needs, especially in the domestic market," he told edia, Saturday, July 22.

Nuriz said PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional JBB projects that sales of Methanol products in 2023 in the DKI, Banten and West Java regions can reach 3100 MT or equivalent to 3.1 million kg.

Just so you know, the distribution of this methanol product is also in line with the government's program for the use of methanol as a form of manifestation and encouragement for the development of the use of clean energy sources in the chemical industry.

Area Manager Communication, Relation & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional West Java, Eko Kristiawan explained that the sale of methanol products is Pertamina's strategy which was lowered into one of the programs, namely Go Petchem, where Petrochemical products can be used as a new instrument for companies to achieve growth improvement.

"Pertamina also considers that the market potential for petrochemical products is still very large and Pertamina is ready to meet Indonesia's energy needs," concluded Eko.
