Kartika Wirjoatmodjo Becomes Deputy Minister Of BUMN I, Ahok: We Are Happy

JAKARTA - Pertamina President Commissioner Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok raised his voice regarding the appointment of Kartika Wirjoatmodjo as Deputy Minister of BUMN I replacing Pahala Nugaraha Mansyuri. He said he was happy to hear the news.

The task of the Deputy Minister of SOEs I is to coordinate SOEs engaged in pharmaceutical, mining, and energy including PT Pertamina (Persero), PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) or PLN, and so on.

This means that Pertamina as a state-owned company will have a lot of contact with Kartika as Deputy Minister of BUMN I.

"I'm happy. He's a professional. I think Pak Tiko (Kartika's nickname) or Mr. Rosan is both good and can work. We are happy to have a partner who can be like that," he said at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 19.

As is known, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) appointed Kartika Wirjoatmodjo as Deputy Minister of BUMN I replacing Pahala Nugaraha Mansyuri who was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Meanwhile, Kartika's previous position as Wemen of BUMN II was filled by Rosan Roeslani.

Previously, SOE Minister Erick Thohir revealed that there would be an exchange of positions where Rosan Roeslani was placed in the position of Deputy Minister of BUMN II replacing Kartika Wirjoatmodjo who was transferred to Deputy Minister of BUMN I.

"Now I will assign Mr. Tiko to Deputy Minister I to focus on the energy of fertilizer food and others. For Rosan to replace Pak Tiko's position in Wamen II to focus on the banking industry, telecommunications, and others," he said at the Ministry of SOEs, Monday, July 17.

Erick said that he had also had a meeting with the Deputy Ministers of BUMN I Kartika and Pahala Mansury regarding several activities that had to be transitioned, such as high-speed trains and work restructuring.

"Because this is already going on. So don't let there be a change, it will be hampered later," he said.

For the time being, Erick explained that Rosan would be accompanied by Kartika for an adaptation period and run major projects such as restructuring which is currently underway.

"Similarly, Mr. Pahala, I also ask to accompany Mr. Tiko for the next 3 months for several performances that have indeed been running, such as the merger of sugar palm oil and others, not directly," he concluded.
