Minister Of Finance Sri Mulyani Calls Efficiency Must Be The Focus Of One Indonesian Data

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said efficiency must be the focus of One Indonesian Data (SDI) and the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) in terms of impact on services.

"The focus of the President has an impact on the quality of service, simplification, and certainty of procedures that are not complicated. So, efficiency," said Sri Mulyani at the 2023 Indonesian One Data Steering Committee Meeting, as quoted in an official statement, quoted from Antara, Thursday, July 13.

He emphasized that according to instructions from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), SDI and SPBE must be integrated. Therefore, interactions between upstream and downstream need to be calibrated to become one service (service) or one interface.

Therefore, coordination is needed between ministries/agencies and local governments to support the realization of centralized data collection so that it has an impact on public services, budget efficiency, and targeted government programs.

The government has formed an SDI to improve quality as well as simplify public service procedures, as directed by President Jokowi.

Meanwhile, Sri Mulyani also paid attention to the achievements and aspects of the formation of SDI.

"I myself pay special attention to the process of how to make data formation from upstream to downstream can be coordinated properly because this process involves many parties," he said.

In the future, the former Managing Director of the World Bank believes that SDI can continue to strive to build Indonesia through strong and credible digital public infrastructure to support Indonesia more advanced, just, and prosperous.

"I appreciate the Indonesian One Data Team which continues to build coordination between parties, which is not easy," said the Minister of Finance.

The 2023 Indonesian One Data Steering Committee meeting which was held in Jakarta, Tuesday (11/7), was chaired by the Minister of National Development Planning (PPN)/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa and attended by the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas, Plt. Minister of Communication and Information Mahfud MD, as well as representatives of ministries and other institutions.
