Visiting SKK Migas, Masses Urge Public Audit For PetroChina Goods And Services Procurement Projects Involving SCM VP Gusminar

JAKARTA - A number of mass actions on behalf of the Jambi Care Intellectual Youth Movement Alliance (APIP-JAMBI) held a demonstration at the SKK Migas (Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities) South Jakarta. In their demands, they urged SKK Migas to evaluate the Vice President Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Operation Support PetroChina, Gusminar.

"Ask SKK Migas to immediately follow up on a viral video related to the profile of SCM Gusminar's VP which is strongly suspected of carrying out corrupt practices to enrich themselves and certain individuals and or there is a criminal consensus within Petrochina," said the field coordinator, Zuhri in his statement to reporters, quoted on Tuesday, June 20.

He indicated that the actions taken by Gusminar throughout his tenure as VP of SCM Petrochina had caused state losses of hundreds of billions of rupiah.

"He is suspected of engineering the tender process which resulted in hundreds of billions of rupiah in state losses during the leadership of SCM VP Gusman," he said.

In fact, to ensure the total alleged corruption, he called on the management of SKK Migas to request a public audit by cooperating with the Financial and Development Audit Agency (BPKP).

"We ask SKK Migas to conduct an audit of all goods and services procurement activities while under Gusminar's leadership," he said.

Then, Zuhri also encouraged President Petrochina to immediately review all procurement processes in the form of payment contracts with a period of 3 years related to various drilling activities carried out using the direct appointment method.

And he also urged President Petrochina to also review the company's estimated price adjustment on the grounds that the deadline for drilling activities is irrelevant for a 3-year contract.

"If this practice of corruption and negligence is allowed to interfere with bilateral relations between China and Indonesia. Considering that Petrochina is a state government-owned state-owned state company operating in Indonesia," he said.

Furthermore, Zuhri also assessed that the practice of alleged corruption in the procurement of goods and services dragged a syndicate that allegedly involved 3 (three) high-ranking officials at the company.

"This is suspected to involve 3 management officials at PetroChina. There are general managers of VP Techincal, Business Development and VP Supply Chain Management. If this is allowed by the KKN to take place, it is clear that Petrochina's management organization is involved which contains people who are not competent in carrying out its duties and responsibilities," he said.

The actions carried out at the two locations, namely the SKK Migas office and the PetroChina International Jabung Ltd office at the Kuningan Tower, Zuhri stated that the goal was for efforts to improve management at the company, due to the many problems that occurred.

"Ask President Petrochina to immediately release Gusminar's brother until the investigation is complete and replace him with more competent and integrity personnel," he said.
