Coordinating Minister Airlangga: Easy And Cheap KUR, Make MSMEs Prosperous

Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto stated that the government continues to increase its commitment to support MSMEs to advance to class, including through the provision of People's Business Credit (KUR). According to him, this year the total target of KUR distribution has been increased to IDR 450 trillion.

"The government believes that KUR credit is easy to obtain and the process is also easy, especially if you already have a reference, one of which is graduates from the Pre-Employment Card," he said in a written message quoted on Sunday, June 18.

He explained that the state is ready to encourage MSME players in all sectors to take advantage of the KUR provided so that capital is no longer an obstacle in business development.

"Nationally, the realization of KUR distribution throughout 2023 to June 12, 2023 has reached IDR 87.48 trillion," he said.

Meanwhile, this amount was given to 1.6 million debtors. Especially in Cirebon City, KUR has realized Rp63 billion for 942 debtors.

"The sector is wide open, such as MSMEs being given as widely as possible and as easily as possible. The ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) is relatively small, one point at a percentage," he said.

"The government hopes that this activity can encourage the spirit of MSMEs in Indonesia to encourage the realization of the ideals of a more advanced and prosperous society," concluded Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
