Trade Minister Zulhas Monitors Depok Stability In Ambon City Ahead Of Eid Al-Adha

JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan on Sunday morning is known to be making a visit to Ambon City to directly monitor the price stability of basic commodities (Bupok).

It was stated that the agenda was closely related to the government's efforts to control the supply and demand side in the market.

"The prices and stocks of bapok in Mardika Market, Ambon are relatively safe and stable," he said as reported by the official website today on Sunday, June 18.

According to the Minister of Trade Zulhas, as Zulkifli Hasan is familiarly called, his party will continue to maintain a balance of prices considering that religious holidays will soon come.

"The government, especially the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag), must continue to monitor the stock and stability of bapok prices, especially ahead of Eid al-Adha," he stressed.

From the monitoring results, medium rice is Rp. 13,000/kg, premium rice is Rp. 15,000/kg, bulog medium rice is Rp. 13,000/kg, sugar is Rp. 15,000/kg, MINYAKITA is Rp. 14,000/liter, premium packaged cooking oil is Rp. 18,000/liter.

Then, beef Rp120,000/kg, chicken meat Rp35,000/kg, and wheat flour Rp13,000/kg. Meanwhile, the bapok commodity whose price was observed to have decreased, namely broiler eggs to Rp33,600/kg and shallots to Rp40,000/kg.

"Local governments must step in to keep the supply of bapok stable. The Ministry of Trade is committed to continuing to monitor the stocks and prices of bapok in the people's market in order to understand the conditions of the people in that place," he concluded.
