Ministry Of Finance Delays Disbursement Of PMN Waskita Karya, Staff Of The Minister Of SOEs Opens Voice

The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) has opened its voice regarding the Ministry of Finance's decision to temporarily suspend the disbursement of state capital participation (PMN) to PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT).

Special Staff to the Minister of SOEs Arya Sinulingga said that his party had not received any details regarding the postponement of the Waskita Karya PMN.

"(The Ministry of SOEs) hasn't got the details yet," he told reporters, Tuesday, May 23.

Even so, Arya emphasized that his party would still accelerate the restructuring process of the state-owned company. The reason, said Arya, is that the way to make Waskita's finances healthy at this time is by restructuring.

Furthermore, Arya said the first phase of the restructuring had been completed. Currently, the Ministry of SOEs is currently preparing a second phase of restructuring from Waskita Karya. Including collecting approval from obligors to parties who have receivables to Waskita Karya.

"It's being arranged with us, we have to hurry up. We'll wait, it must also be restructuring, including the approval of all parties, right," he said.

Even so, Arya could not confirm whether the restructuring plan could be pocketed in the near future or early next month. But what is certain is that after the financial restructuring plan is completed, it is certain that PMN to Waskita will be disbursed soon.

"Yes, it's finished first, then (liquid PMN). PMN is only given when (completed) restructuring," he said.

For your information, the Ministry of Finance decided to postpone the disbursement of State Equity Participation (PMN) to Waskita Karya. Initially, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani planned to provide PMN of IDR 3 trillion.

The Director General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance Rionald Silaban said the reason for delaying the disbursement of PMN to Waskita was carried out until there was clarity on the debt restructuring of the state-owned company.

Furthermore, Rio said that Sita's work is an open company because it is necessary for the government to see the restructuring program planned by the company.
