Reviewing Hamadi Central Market, Trade Minister Zulhas: Bapok Prices Stable In Jayapura

JAKARTA - The Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan claims that the prices of basic necessities (Bupok) in Jayapura, Papua, are monitored to be stable and available supplies.

This was conveyed by Zulhas as Zulkifli Hasan's nickname after reviewing the availability of stocks and price stability of basic necessities (bapok) at the Central Market of Hamadi, Jayapura, Papua, Tuesday, May 2.

"The price of bapok in Jayapura, Papua, is observed to be stable and supplies are available. Some of the prices of bapok are relatively high because they are imported directly from Java," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, May 2.

Nationally post-Lebaran, continued Zulhas, the price of coal and basic necessities is stable and the supply is maintained.

Based on today's monitoring, the price of medium rice was recorded at Rp. 12,000 per kg, Rp. 11,000 per kg of Bulog medium rice, Rp. 15,000 per kg of premium rice, and Rp. 15,000 per kg of sugar.

Then, the price of bulk cooking oil is Rp. 20,000 per liter, Oil cooking oil is Rp. 14,000 per liter, premium packaged cooking oil is Rp. 24,000 per liter, beef is Rp. 140,000 per kg, broiler meat is Rp. 32,000 per kg, and chicken eggs is Rp. 36,800 per kg.

Then, shallots Rp. 60,000 per kg, soybeans Rp. 13,000 per kg, wheat flour Rp. 15,000 per kg, curly red chilies Rp. 85,000 per kg, large red chilies Rp. 100,000 per kg, cayenne pepper Rp. 80,000 per kg, and garlic Rp. 45,000 per kg.

Zulhas emphasized that the government continues to make various efforts in maintaining price stability and supply of basic goods, including by conducting direct visits to several people's markets.

In addition, Zulhas continued, during the Lebaran 2023 period, the Ministry of Trade together with the Regional Government held 205 cheap markets and low-cost market movements throughout Indonesia.
