Jasa Raharja Gives Compensation To Victims Of Ship Sinking In Tembilahan Riau

JAKARTA - Head of PT. Jasa Raharja Riau Branch, M. Iqbal Hasanuddin, said that his party guaranteed compensation to all passengers of the SB Ship. How come Calisca-01 GT.16 which sank in the Guntung River and Tembilahan Riau, at 13.15 WIB on Thursday 27 April.

"For this reason, Jasa Raharja Riau officers in the Guntung River and Tembilahan immediately responded quickly to the incident to coordinate the accident case and check the transport ship data," he said in Pekanbaru, quoted from Antara, Saturday, April 29.

He said that based on coordination and information from various parties, namely KSOP, Basarnas and other stakeholders, Jasa Raharja immediately responded quickly by collecting data on victims and providing guarantees for treatment to hospitals where the victims were being treated.

For this incident, his party and all ranks expressed their condolences and concern.

"Hopefully the victims survive and recover soon and the families of the victims die patiently in the face of this disaster patiently," he said.

He said the ship's passengers were 57 people and in accordance with the manifest list, guarantees would be given based on Law No.33/64 and based on Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number 15 of 2017.

The heirs of the deceased were given compensation of Rp. 50 million and guaranteed the cost of treating the victim at the hospital to a maximum of Rp. 20 million, according to written information from PT. Jasa Raharja Riau.

"PT. Jasa Raharja officers from Pekanbaru were also sent directly to the TKP to collect data on victims and the compensation process," said Iqbal.
