KPK Endus State Losses Rp4.5 Trillion Regarding Toll Roads, Minister Basuki: Clear

Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono said the KPK's findings regarding the potential state losses of Rp4.5 trillion were not a problem of corruption. He stated that the funds were BLU funds borrowed by 12 Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) for land acquisition.

"So, if Rp4.5 trillion is not potential for corruption, that is BLU, before there was a State Asset Management Institute (LMAN), the land acquisition was paid by BLU, then the BUJT will pay," Basuki told reporters after being met at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 4.

Basuki said that there was already a schedule for BUJT to pay the funds, namely until 2024.

"Well, now there is a schedule to pay, I have closed the BLU because if it doesn't, it will flower, so I will close it. Someone has already paid, until 2024 everything will be paid off," he said.

Minister Basuki assessed that things such as corruption or potential state losses could embarrass him, so he ensured that later the BLU funds would all be paid off by the BUJT.

"I'm ashamed if something like that, it's nothing and it's clear," he concluded.

For your information, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the state is at risk of losing IDR 4.5 trillion in toll road management.

KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan said the risk of losses arose because the toll road manager did not return the Rp4.5 trillion which was previously used for land acquisition purposes for toll road construction.
