Samsung Confirms Galaxy Watch6 Is Safe To Use During Sleep

JAKARTA - Samsung has just launched the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic. This watch, has a Sleep Score Factors sleeping support feature.

The feature is equipped with a total sleep time, sleep cycle, wake-up time, and physical and mental recovery, to help users understand the quality of sleep they get every night.

MX Product Marketing Senior Manager of Samsung Electronics Indonesia Annisa Nurul Maulina said the Galaxy Watch6 is safe to wear while sleeping.

"Before it was launched, we had internal research and testing, so it's safe to use during sleep," Annisa said at the launch of the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic online, Thursday, August 3.

In addition, this smart watch also brings the Sleep Message5 feature, developed with the National Sleep Foundation to be adjusted to each individual, which provides a more detailed feedback on the health of sleep every morning.

"This could be the first step to improve the quality of sleep effectively, and build better wellness in everyday life," said Annisa.

Sleep Coaching6 on the Galaxy Watch6 has also been upgraded, where users can implement the information they get about sleep with instructions, tips, and personalized reminders that can be accessed on the user's wrist or on a smartphone that has been connected.

Other features that complement two Galaxy Watch6 variants, such as the Personalized Heart Rate Zone to analyze the physical capabilities of users and the latest Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification feature, which helps users understand heart health more comprehensively by examining heart rhythms that can lead to in-background fibrillation (AFib), even during sleep.

Also present is the Fall Detection feature that can record moments when the user falls, whether it's during exercise, when standing normally, or even in sleep if the user falls off the bed.

Once the user falls recorded and measurable, the smartwatch will automatically contact the emergency phone number or the specified contact.

To stay connected to family and friends, the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 can also use WhatsApp as well as an updated Camera Controller offering remote control functions for cameras from the Galaxy Z Flip5 installed with smartwatches, so users can set shooting mode, angle, to zoom.

This smart watch competing with Apple Watch is priced at IDR 3.9 million to IDR 5.9 million depending on the size chosen from 40mm to 47mm.
