JAKARTA - Meta's text-based social media, Threads has finally launched one of the most requested features for users, following feed or Following.

Since its release, Threads has only featured new threads in algorithmic feeds, both content from people being followed and not being followed, and rarely sequentially.

Before the new feature is launched, users may always see a thread from the last few minutes, or one and two days ago.

This is what sparked a lot of protests on the platform and led Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to eventually launch a new Following tab, to fix it.

The tab only shows a thread from the user that is followed and always in chronological order. However, the tab For You or For You is still embedded with Meta next to the Following tab.

This feature has started to appear on the iOS and Android versions of Threads at almost the same time, although it is not yet available to all users, as quoted from 9to5Google and CNET, Wednesday, July 26.

How To Access Tabs Following In Threads

Currently, Threads is still default to your For you feed, so to make the Following tab appear, users need to tap the home icon at the bottom left of the application or the Threads logo above.

If tapping the icon does not change the feed, it is possible that the Following tab has not been added. For that, users are advised to update their app.

The Upcoming Threads Feature

Some time ago, Zuckerberg said it would launch some new features for Threads, which include translations, hashtags, improved search functions, edited posts, full desktop mode, and the ability to limit who can reply to posts.
