JAKARTA - When the Headset of mixed reality (MR), Vision Pro was introduced last week, many criticized it because it was priced very expensive. However, a new report says Apple is developing a cheaper model.

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman in his latest Power On bulletin stated that Apple had planned a cheaper version of Vision Pro, making headsets more accessible to many people.

However, it is likely that it will not be ready for the public until the end of 2025. Vision Pro is sold for USD 3.499 or approximately IDR 52 million.

"Apple is currently planning a cheaper model release no later than the end of 2025, meaning it won't debut about two years after the original Vision Pro," Gurman said.

Gurman believes that the cheaper model will not replace the more expensive Vision Pro. In addition to presenting cheap headsets, it is also said that Gurman is working on a second-generation Vision Pro which is equipped with more sophisticated and fast jeroans.

It is estimated that the company will offer non-Pro and Pro models similar to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, as quoted from Slashgear, Tuesday, June 13.

"At the same time, Apple is working on a second-generation Vision Pro with a faster processor, showing its intention to strategy two products for devices that are in line with the standard iPhone and iPhone Pro models," Gurman explained.

For information, Vision Pro comes with a special microshower system of 23 million pixels, claimed by Apple to be able to present 4K resolution per screen. Also, equipped with double R1 and M2 chips which make the price quite high compared to its competitor Meta Quest 3.
