JAKARTA - Elon Musk, owner of Twitter Inc., announced that Twitter will soon pay verified content creators for advertising in their reply. The first payment will reach around $5 million.

In his tweet, Musk stated, "It should be noted that content creators must be verified and only ads displayed to verified users will be counted."

In a few weeks, X/Twitter will start paying creators for ads served in their replies. First block payment totals $5M.Note, the creator must be verified and only served to verified users count.

Since Elon Musk bought Twitter last October, the platform has had difficulty keeping advertisers in doubt about placing their ads after the company dismissed thousands of employees.

The move comes as the new Twitter CEO, Linda Yaccarino, an advertising veteran from NBCUniversal, will lead this social media platform.

In March, Musk stated that this messaging service generates about 5 or 6 cents per hour of attention from users and could increase that amount to 15 cents or more with more relevant and timely ads.
