Inter Milan Wants To Rest First Before Making Bigger Dreams

JAKARTA - Inter Milan ended Serie A 2022/2023 with a narrow 1-0 win over Torino. After this, the Nerazzurri will face a tough party.

Inter will meet Manchester City in the Champions League final which will take place at Ataturk Olympic Stadium, Turkey, on June 11.

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi said his team would rest first before looking at the final match against City.

"We will rest tomorrow and then have an intense week. Thanks to the 56 games we have played to date and the way we are developing, we have the opportunity to get involved in the next game," said Inzaghi, quoted from Inter's official website.

The former SS Lazio coach then talked about his team's opponents later. According to him, the team, which Pep Guardiola now uses, is a fantastic team.

"The Champions League final is a big dream, and we managed to achieve it. Now, we will play a game with our weapons but are aware that we will face a fantastic team," said Inzaghi.

A little comment on the final later, the 47-year-old coach said his team had to have more possession to keep the Manchester United neighboring team unable to do much as usual.

"We have to do well and dig together while also controlling the ball so they have a little possession," said Inzaghi, as reported by Antara.

Furthermore, Inzaghi admitted that he was very satisfied with the performance of his foster children who performed well in the last match ahead of seven days against City in Turkey.

"It's a big game we're really looking forward to, but I have to praise the players for playing the game like we did today a week before the game that was waiting for it (UCL final) wasn't easy," said Inzaghi.

Meanwhile, in Serie A's last week match between Torino and Inter, Livescore noted Inter, who acted as the visitors, controlled the course of the match with 59 percent possession of the ball.
