SEA Games 2023: Schedule Of Indonesia U-22 Versus Philippines

JAKARTA The Indonesian U-22 national team will have their first match against the Philippines in the group phase of the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia. The following is the schedule for the match.

The 2023 SEA Games should start on May 5. However, the soccer sport will be held early as of Saturday, April 29, 2023.

This sport will be marked by the opening duel of Indonesia versus the Philippines in Group A. The clashes between the two teams will be held at the Olympic Stadium, Phnom Penh, at 16.00 WIB.

The coach of the Indonesian U-22 national team, Indra Sjafri, said that his team was ready to play the inaugural match. This match is considered the key to the journey of Garuda troops in this biennial multi-branch event.

"This SEA Games for me is the second SEA Games and we came here with the strength of 20 players according to regulations and we are ready to face the tournament," said Indra Sjafri as quoted by PSSI's official website.

To face this year's edition of the SEA Games, Indra Sjafri forged his squad for approximately one month in Jakarta. Preparations then continued after the Indonesian national team arrived in Cambodia on Tuesday, April 25.

The inaugural exercise in Cambodia began on the first day to be held at the hotel. After that this team trained at The Dream Visakha Training Camp, Phnom Penh.
