JAKARTA - The North Maluku Regional Police (Polda) held a simulation of handling demonstrations and tactical floor games (TFG) as part of their readiness to secure demonstrations to commemorate International Labor Day on May 1.
The Head of Public Relations of the North Maluku Police, Kombes Pol. Bambang Suharyono, said that this rehearsal aims to ensure the preparedness of all ranks in facing various possibilities at the May Day 2025 commemoration.
"I hope that all members will pay close attention to every stage of handling so that in the field later we can break down the masses in accordance with the standard operating procedures that apply," said Bambang in Ternate, Wednesday, April 23, as quoted by Antara.
This activity was also attended by Karo Ops Polda Malut, the Police Chiefs and personnel from the North Maluku Regional Police and the Resort Police. The simulation involved a combination of personnel from the Ternate Police and the North Maluku Police with an escalation scenario of the situation, ranging from small actions to large-scale demonstrations.
He reminded the Head of Ops and personnel at the Polres level to use this simulation as a guideline in handling demonstrations in their respective regions.
"With this exercise, it is hoped that all ranks can act professionally and according to procedures when facing concrete actions," he said.
