The Jampidsus Investigation Team of the Attorney General's Office (AGO) has transferred evidence and the three judges of the Surabaya District Court (PN) who were involved in the alleged bribery case of Ronald Tannur's acquittal, to the public prosecutor (JPU).

"That's right, (the suspect and evidence) were handed over on Friday, December 13, 2024," said the Director of Prosecution at the Attorney General's Office of Jampidsus Sutikno, ANTARA, Sunday, December 15.

The delegation of three suspects with the initials ED (Erituah Damanik), HH (Heru Hanindyo), and M (Mangapul) was carried out at the Central Jakarta District Attorney.

After the transfer of files and suspects, he said, the three suspects were detained at different detention centers while awaiting trial at the Central Jakarta District Court.

The suspect HH was detained by the Public Prosecutor at the Salemba Rutan and suspects ED and M were detained at the Salemba Rutan at the Attorney General's Office.

"The three defendants will soon be transferred to the Central Jakarta District Court Corruption Court," he said.

Previously, Jampidsus AGO investigators named ED (Erituah Damanik), HH (Heru Hanindyo), and M (Mangapul) who acquitted Gregorius Ronald Tannur, the defendant in the murder case of Dini Sera Afrianti, as a suspect on suspicion of accepting bribes or gratuities.

In addition to the three judges, investigators also named Ronald Tannur's lawyer with the initials LR (Lisa Rahmat) as a suspect as a bribe giver.

Jampidsus Investigation Director at the Attorney General's Office, Abdul Qohar, said that the disclosure of this case began when investigators found suspicions in Ronald Tannur's acquittal in the murder case of his girlfriend, Dini Sera Afrianti, by the three judges.

"Investigators found strong indications that the release of the defendant Ronald Tannur, allegedly ED, AH, and M, had accepted bribes or gratuities from an LR lawyer," he said.

Then, investigators conducted searches at six locations, namely at the house belonging to the suspect LR in the Rungkut area, Surabaya, an apartment belonging to the suspect LR in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, an apartment belonging to the suspect ED in Gunawangsa Surabaya, an apartment belonging to the suspect HH in Ketintang, Gayungan, Surabaya, and the house of the suspect ED at the BSB Village Housing Semarang.

During the search, investigators found and confiscated evidence in the form of cash worth billions of rupiah and several electronic evidence.

After the examination, the four were officially named as suspects in the alleged corruption case in the form of bribery or gratuities.

For the actions of the suspects, judges ED, M, and HH as recipients of bribes were charged with Article 5 Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 6 Paragraph 2 jo. Article 12 letter e jo. Article 12B jo. Article 18 of the Anti-Corruption Law jo. Article 55 Paragraph 1 1 1 of the Criminal Code.
