Talking About Sovereignty In The Food Sector, Atikoh: Starting From Superior Seeds

BLITAR - The wife of the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo, Siti Atikoh, said that superior seeds are important to realize food sovereignty. In addition, the management of the results must be strengthened so that it brings more benefits.

This was conveyed by Atikoh when visiting Kampung Brown on Jalan Banteng Blorok, Blitar, East Java, Friday night, January 26. He said that the educational-based popular tourist destination could be a model if Indonesia wanted to progress.

"This (Brown Village, red) is a pilot if Indonesia wants to progress, we must be sovereign in the food sector and this can absorb a lot of workforce," said Atikoh.

Atikoh heard that the existence of Kampung Brown made the economy of local residents increase. Moreover, there are many tourist visits from various regions to foreign countries there.

So that this model of sovereignty in the food sector can be seen from the management of Kampung Brown. Because in addition to absorbing hundreds of workers, these tourist destinations are the pride of Blitar residents who have a fairly wide marketing network in the country.

"Departing in the food sector, starting from how we can produce superior seeds, then the sale is not only in the form of seeds or brown forms that are still raw, the added value will definitely be improved when it is in finished form, and this is extraordinary," he said.

"The philosophy of employment, creating jobs for 17 million is like this. Not by the government absorbing ASN personnel, BUMN workers or other sectors. But there is an entrepreneurial spirit. Because later our workforce will face demographic bonuses," concluded Atikoh.
