TNI Commander: I Sign Detention Of The Head Of Basarnas

TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono confirmed that he signed the detention letter for the Head of Basarnas Marshal Henri Alfiandi after being named a suspect in a corruption case.

Vice Marshal Henri Alfiandi was detained by the military detention installation belonging to the Indonesian Air Force (AU) Military Police Center, Halim Perdanakusuma, East Jakarta.

"I have signed it to be detained in detention. That's if Pati is the Commander of the TNI. So I have signed it and immediately detained it for further investigation," said Yudo Margono, quoted on Saturday, August 5.

Yudo emphasized that the TNI will always coordinate with the KPK in investigating the alleged corruption case.

The public is also asked not to worry about the investigations currently being carried out internally by the TNI. This is because transparency will be prioritized and all soldiers who are guilty will be sanctioned according to the rules.

"Show which impunity is accepted by TNI soldiers. If you are wrong, an investigation will be carried out and punished in accordance with the laws and regulations," said Yudo.

On the other hand, Yudo gave an example of the absence of impunity within the TNI. He even mentioned the corruption case of Brigadier General TNI Teddy Hernayadi in 2016.

In that case, the panel of judges at the second level of the Military Court sentenced Brigadier General Teddy Hernayadi to life imprisonment in the corruption case of Alutsista procurement at the Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan). In fact, he was fired as a TNI soldier.

"There was even a decision for life in 2016," said Yudo.
