DENPASAR - Denpasar City Police arrested a foreign national (WNA) from Ireland MRM (36) who allegedly hit a local resident to death at Simpang Jalan Sunset Road, Badung, Bali.
"We have secured the perpetrator (in the afternoon) by a joint team from the Satreskrim and the Denpasar Police Traffic Unit," said Denpasar Police Chief Kombes Bambang Yugo Pamungkas as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 27.
Bambang explained that the perpetrator with the initials MRM (36) from Ireland lives temporarily in Bali in the Kerobokan area of North Kuta Klod.
The perpetrator was arrested in the Canggu area, North Kuta, Badung when he was about to run away.
Previously, NRM foreigners were involved in a traffic accident at the Sunset Road-Jalan Kunti intersection, Km 18 Kuta, Badung on Thursday (27/7) at around 01.45 WITA.
As a result of the incident, a resident died. After receiving the accident report, the Denpasar Police Traffic Unit immediately went to the crime scene (TKP) to conduct a crime scene investigation.

The car was found with a damaged front bumper, open glass, unlocked door, live car air conditioner, and no ignition key was found.
"The perpetrator can be secured within three hours and is currently at the Denpasar Police Headquarters," said Kombes Pol. Bambang.
